The Day of the Lord
Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
Remember one day to God is as 1000 years to us. Unfortunately for the religious, who merely seek punishment, death and the destruction of people, the 'Day of the Lord' is about giving knowledge of life, which brings destruction to the soul in a man. In short, it brings about Satan's end in the individual.
Amos 5:7-8 Ye who turn judgment to wormwood (Bitterness), and leave off righteousness in the earth, (Those ruled by the soul, thus everyone) Seek him that maketh the seven stars (God) and Orion (The Morning Star), and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name: (Technically Jesus Christ, for he was the Lord God, before he was made straight as Jesus, and once again regain the title of the 'Morning Star')
Now looking to Revelation.
Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
And who has the seven stars in his hand?
Revelation 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
What what does the sharp two-edged sword do, and who has the word of God coming out of his mouth?
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Revealing the thoughts and intentions of the heart, revealing the heart's wickedness in its own domain. The soul in man is that controlling influence over all that dwell on the Earth. It controls so much, that even when a person is thinking about something, their lips move unconsciously. Mutterers, who are quite literally are paying lip service to their souls, since that two-edged sword hasn't cleaved apart the soul from the spirit, and thus they're possessed by their soul, instead of them themselves possessing their own soul. Such are they who are ruled by the deceit of their own heart.
Psalm 149:5-7 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
The punishment, with of course the law and the prophets being a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of things written in the Old Testament, is the knowledge of truth, which enables one to regain control of their own souls, by renewing their minds in the word of God. Below is a parable about that, which the workings of the soul ruin and use to control our spirit, key point is to notice the part about not one of your hairs perishing on your head, this isn't about the flesh, but the things unseen.. Also remember that Jerusalem is a parable of the spirit. That place of peace. The place of the Sabbath, where no working of the soul's wicked thoughts and imagination should be, defining the 'Holy Temple' that is the true 'Father's House'.
Luke 21:15-21 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls. And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
What Jesus is saying here is turn to the Father in spirit, to escape the plagues of the soul. For the soul is Judaea, and the mountain is the spirit, and as said in revelation, come out of her my people, so that we receive none of our heart's plagues. Since while we're in her, the soul possesses our spirit, so we must flee from the midst of her. We need to return to our spirit, making our mind single, focused within our own mind, and stay in that country and not return back down that mountain of the spirit, back into Judaea. Remember the story, and I mean story about 'Lot's wife, for they're many ways to communicate the same things using parables and similitude's. That is the beauty of them, they can be used to hide the truth in plain sight, so that those who would corrupt them cannot see them.
Luke 17:31-33 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
If you're looking at these things in human terms then you will err in your own understanding, and will be turned away from the truth instead of being directed towards it..
Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, (Which means to be instructed in righteousness) and depart from evil. (Your own heart's works)
They can only be understood from the point of view, that single view of the mind, and then you'll be able to see and understand the things unseen that are quite literally in front of you.
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Those with only an earthly understanding, desiring nations to rise against nation, and attack Israel, Iran, China, etc, because their wicked hearts desire war, and not peace. Woe unto them, for their same hearts have already condemned them.
1 John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
That in itself, is the armies leaving Jerusalem desolate, bereft of the truth and the word of God, and in its place, famine, because the thoughts of the hearts have overtaken them, and like locusts have destroyed all the crops that knowledge of God that dwells within the mind that is turned to God.
Amos 5:18-20 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
Which country did flee the British Lion? The United States, for their own independence
Which nation is known as the Bear? Russia.
Now we have Trump and Putin. Meeting together. Trumpeting.
And that house where the man flees from the Lion is the White House, where the serpent bit him, and now all he does is spew out venom. Bitterness, and leaving off righteousness in the Earth. Of course the heathen support him like he is their God.
Doesn't half of Trumps family hail from Scotland.
And of course Putin from Russia.
So putting the two together, the Lion and the Bear, these two leaders of the so-called super powers you get Trump-Putin.
Oh, just to make things more fun. Donald comes from the Gaelic name Domhnall which means "ruler of the world" It also means Dark Stranger, which is Donald's primary meaning in English, and Vladimir also means Universal Ruler.
Interesting times eh! Do not worry though, it is not what people think it is, it is just a sign post for certain people, like this below, alluding to the war on terror, and those towers falling. Those two are largely irrelevant in the greater scheme of things, like most ruler of this earth.

3, Hebrews 10-1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
So the Day of the Lord, translated out of the natural man's understanding, into the spiritual man's discernment is the Knowledge (Light) of God, the Father, which puts an end to Satan's rule within us. (And it was said, you wouldn't see it coming, like a thief in the night)
1 Thessalonians 5:2-5 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
And what did God do in the beginning?
Genesis 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
What people don't understand, nor do they want to, is that we're in the midst of the pit, that is called the night, the darkness which God divided from the light, which is Heaven in the beginning.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Again, woe to you who seek destruction of the world, wars, and the suffering of the people, desiring good news for only yourselves and bad news for others. For the good news will pass you by like a thief in the night, while you think you're safe and at peace in your religions, and then they are made as nothing as the truth comes rewarding those who truly seek the Father within in SPIRIT, those who truly have had faith in the Father, and done as Jesus taught mankind to do, following and applying his teachings, and not mindlessly worshipping the name of a man, nor his image.
1 Thessalonians 5:8-10 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
Yes, if your sacrifices are merely making merry in his name every year, and giving presents to one and other, you'll be found wanting, while your busy wrapping your presents.

So, reading all the above, what point is there worrying about the future? When people down even to their own names are just cogs in a very big machine that we’re for a large part ignorant of?
Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought (The wicked thoughts and imagination of the heart, remember) for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Mostly we spend most of our days consumed with the past or have anxiety about the future, to our own detriment.
Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

Did it say you'll be participating in them? You'll shall hear of them, and who talks of them, who is desiring the Day of the Lord, in this land of affliction, the Furnace of Fire, Hell. The Earth.

Who looks at the scriptures and spreads rumours about future wars because of them? The whole world is coming to have a war against Israel they say, etc, etc. Rumours upon, upon rumours. Of course we hear about wars in places far off. Regardless, just who do you think Jesus was talking to when he said that?
Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Where is the body, where is the soul to be destroyed, leaving that 3rd part of man remaining, the Spirit.

Fear = Instruction in righteousness. (What is its shadow, the consequence of taking the very image of things?) Religious torture, fear, abuse and even murder.
Proverbs 14:27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.
As said, it is ALL about the GOOD NEWS, so turn to the Father and be instructed in righteousness, for only the 'Father' of righteousness, the 'ALL GOOD' can teach it, and give it. For it is his gift to those that correctly seek him.
